Old refrigeration equipment.

My Dad and I are going to be doing a talk on yacht maintenance at the cruising association next month and I am looking for some refrigeration parts to use as examples. Particularly I am looking for old compressors preferably DC voltage danfoss or Sawafiji (engel) so I can cut them up and show the internals Does anyone have any old broken or faulty units they wish to dispose of in the Southampton area? If there are any very old ones with problems that I could maybe repair and make work as a demonstration unit I would also be very grateful and will then post some items on our website www.coxengineering.co.uk to help yachtsmen around the world. Any help would be very greatly appreciated and credit will be given to the donor.

Not a compressor system, but this came out of my boat. It has been lying in case I needed a heat sink sometime. No idea how it worked.

Looks like an old Peltier electronic cooling unit. I had a Kiwi Frigicool unit on a previous boat. Not the most efficient, and heavy on electrical power.

Have you tried Kreuger in Trafalar Wharf? The old Vosper Thorneycroft location.
