\'Old\' LRP petrol usage?
Is it possible to use 'old' LRP petrol by adding to a diesel car's tank? in small quantities of course. Say half or 1 litre to a full tank of 50 litres of diesel.
From my hazey memory I recall tales, that diesel fuel storage tanks used by the large petroleum companies etc, were often 'contaminated' with petrol. Hence my question.
BTW. I have found info on the web that rules out usage in modern unleaded car engines (especially with catalyzers).
As the end of the season approaches and the boat is laid up, I was wondering what I could do with the LRP left, approx. 10 to 20 litres?
I know you have to dispose of it responsibly, but I was hoping of using it somehow.
What do you do?
