A Stephen Jones design from the late 70's or early 80's . Had a bulbous bow. Does not his first Hustled 32's meet half ton ratings when properly trimmed etc? I think that Xaviera did ( sorry cannot recall spelling) They were fairly big boats. His 36's were 3/4 ton or thereabouts.[/QUOTE said:Hustler SJ32 rated 1/2 ton with masthead rig, 3/4 with tall fractional. One is still doing well round here. Also the later SJ30. Other old 1/2 tonners that did well are MG 29, Contessa 33 (Humphries) David Thomas Hydro & Toledo (well built, so should still be around). Finally what about Laser 27 (Bruce Farr)? In their day, they were very difficult to beat under their CHS/IRC rating, which was close to 1/2 Ton.
