Okay Suns Out? getting nearer Easter when most people have there boats ready for the forth coming season..... Thinking ahead to the end of the season now, what are the destinations you want to say you have visited and what are your objectives for the season..

Mine is to get further into southern Brittany and visit Ireland.

The one thing i must do this year is learn to be more confident with the anchor and not always head for a marina at the end of the day.

Tell me about it. I just want my $$$$$$g boat finished by the yard, put back together and back in the water!!! After that, just getting down to the end of Southampton Water and back will feel like a major life achievement... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For the past 5 years we've never ended up where we planned to go.

So this year we're planning to go to Holland /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
At least we won't end up there then

Where do I really want to end up?
Not telling - I don't want to jinx it. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I have a growing feeling that a detailed plan is a curse, so am going to go by these criteria this year:-

1) Is the forecast F7 or less
2) Which way is the wind blowing
3) Are there suitable bolt holes with pubs in that direction
4) Lets go

By strange coincidence I just found myself planning a ditch-crawl on the laptop chart plotter - even putting in a few waypoints! It's definitely the effect of the weather - I'm completely ignoring the fact that I have yet to glass in my stern tube, fit a fuel system, exhaust system, water inlet, engine box, bolt down the new engine, wire up the electrics and so on ad infinitum. Sun shining = brain in idiot mode.
