Oil change

I have had a cheap fake Pela football-shaped one, worked but annoyngly the pump kept coming off the top, so you had to use one hand to hold it one. Now have a tubular genuine Pela - much better.
I have an original Pela and the pump occasionally comes of that too…
Works great though and no hardship to pour old oil into empty oil container after putting new oil put into engine.

Same here ... original ball shaped 6L Pela .... pump comes off the rubber seal - basically because it gets 'oily' !!
I bought one and have been very disappointed with it. Slow and hard work. Luckily the Beta engine that I have comes complete with a very efficient brass hand pump bolted on.

I hope heaven is better ?

Funny actually - the 4-107 I have is according to the serial number - originally a static engine before matery before me used it in his Rustler..
Its supposed to have a sump drain pump ... but somebody removed it and blanked the hole.

I never bothered to source a pump - because the gearbox I have needs a vacuum pump anyway to drain that. So I do both with the Pela.
