I am fed up with the annual struggle to change the oil filter on my engine. This the last version has the oil filter facing down towards the sump with no surrounding space to get a grip on it. I have seen accessories for sale that would allow the oil filter to be moved to a convenient location by the use of a fixed manifold in place of the filter and flexible pipes to a remotely located filter housing. There are several on the market and as my boat is overseas I want to be sure to buy the correct model. Has anyone on the forum purchased a remote oil filter kit for my engine ? If so could I have details. I know the thread is 3/4 inch and I can determine the radius of the rubber seal from the filter specification but I just want to be sure this is a practical endeavour.
