The tubes can be a pain to store so I keep mine in a short piece of 1 inch plastic conduit (with the end heat sealed flat/shut) cabletied vertically to an engine, they stay nice and straight and free from flattening, loss or damage.

Thats a good tip.I also have a smaller Pela that I bought in Holland,but I have never seen them in UK or in catalogues/web sites.

Changed the oil in my Yanmar 2GM for first time on saturday using one the same type of small brass pump that Cliff advocates (mine was a tenner from Solent Leisure as SBS).

No problems at all. Took a while though but for 1.5l not a problem. Would have been a pain for a big engine though.
