A quick summary.....
You took a boat which you were not familier with and probably did not know the mechanical condition of out in winter conditions that you were obviously uncomfortable with along a route that you proved to be incapable of navigating properly and what would appear to an unsafe speed and ...........you call him a ********.
Wonder what the water temp was how long would you suvive in the water.

can you tell us what kind of damage you had on the drives ?
especially as they went in to survival mode ?

I have touched ground several times in Zeeland Holland, and damaged a few props during the years, also ones damage to the hull gelcoat, (no pics sorry)
but I have alway's been wondering what happens when the drives are seriously grounding ?

Luckily for me there was no damage at all, helped obviously by the fact that all I hit was very soft sand. If the drives hit anything they simply spring up in to their fully lifted state to protect themselves. Apparently this doesn't work if you are going backwards though!

26kts is a fair whack to hit the putty so surprised there was no prop damage at least. Congrats for honesty. Making mistakes is the best education tool there is - bet you won't do it again.
