I just felt compelled to the title since there's a disused port hand marker (a big one) next to me in the yard.

Have a look at these pictures. http://onkudu.wordpress.com/2009/06/23/slowly-but-unsurely/

The bow roller backing plate shocked me! At least I know what too look for if I ever buy another boat. I'm getting there though.

Oh, this was amazing. A lady parked her car in the boat yard over the weekend, and i got talking to her. She didn't know what I was doing at this point, but looked at my boat and said "it's horrible when everybody else is in the water and you're still trying to get in, isn't it. My boat is about the same size as yours, I'll give you the keys. She's moored over there, so feel free to take her out if you want some water time"

I declined the offer since I'm way to busy for silly things like sailing, then told her what I was doing. Still, implied trust like that is pretty amazing.

Thats Crazy Carol and its not her boat /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I know EXACTLY what you mean! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

After the emotion of Flipper's demise had reduced I did say a big thank you to whoever is in charge for me not having to find out her keel / hull troubles when off soundings 3 or 4 days out into the big blue stuff.

Frustrating I know but better now in the long run. You have built up a great band of helpers with the refit too!

Thet are a bit trusting at wells,i had a guy loan me his oars, never met him before all he asked was that i drop them off at his house when i finished
