Ofcom online ships licence application

Has anyone had problems in getting the online application process to work - I have phoned them several times and I still cant get my licence to work:mad:

can you describe the problem in a little more detail.

Ho w far through the process can you get before you run into trouble?

Are you answering all the mandatory questions?

Completed all parts of the application and pressed submit - told me to print off pages once it processsed but it never has - Think I'm just going to have to call them again... !

It did this to me last year, but when I logged on again this month I could view and print the licence, after amending it to a DSC vhf and deleting the previous one.

Did mine the other week no probs. Make sure you've deleted any saved, partially completed ones. Or start from scratch maybe.

If you have completed it all correctly and submitted it you should be able to view it from the first page that appears after you log in if you return to that.

You should then be able to print it. You have to print yourself it doesn't do it automatically

In Chrome I can right click on it and then click "Print" or I can print from the Icon that appears if I hover the mouse in the bottom RH corner.

I must admit when I printed mine I was using IE... but I forget how to print from IE. "Print" is on menu somewhere IIRC

I printed mine A4 and then printed a second copy A5 to keep on the boat

Be warned it prints all the rules and regulations as well, 13 pages IIRC, for the Ship Radio Licence. Fewer for a Ship Portable Radio Licence.

All pages it prints are part of the SRL, and must be on board as well as the "License" looking bit.
