Hi there,
My name is Ash, I'm 26 years old and from the UK. I'm looking for some work around the med this summer. I'm a very experienced sailor and have skippered 2 Ocean passages from Gibraltar to the Canaries. I hold a commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster Ocean (Sail) qualification, alongside RYA Sea Survival and STCW 95 First Aid. Sailing has been my passion since they age of 7 and I am from a Dinghy Sailing background. I also have experience working seasons all over Europe as a Dinghy Instructor.
Since I left school aged 16, I have been employed by both the Navy and the Fire Service. This means I am very much a team player and can be relied upon as a cool-head in any stressful situation. I also studied Outdoor Education at Plymouth University, and I hold a Foundation Degree (FdSc) in the subject.
I am reliable and responsible, very approachable, I live & breath boats and I am never happier than when I am on the water. People who I've worked with have called me 'dedicated' and 'enthusiastic'. I have a thirst for life and I'm used to traveling and living out of a (small) bag. Currently located in Gibraltar, I am a single guy with no attachments.
