Those who are planning to attend the Boat Jumble at Ocean Village, Southampton on Sunday (as advertised in YM over recent months), should be aware that the area will become chaotic from midday onwards.

This is because Southampton FC are at home to Manchester United, kick off 2pm, about half a mile away.

Best advice is to go to the jumble and get away by midday or wait until the match has started.

Have fun either way

(PS Come on, Saints !!!)

If you are not trying to carry anything large, you could catch the free bus from the railway station (or West Quay shopping centre) to Town Quay and walk along to Ocean Village. Easiest car parking in the town centre away from Ocean Village is probably at West Quay or East street in the morning. Charlotte place roundabout (The Avenue) still had road works last time I looked, and Onslow road (Bevois valley) was still closed. Those two may change soon. There is no such thing as easy car parking on a Saturday afternoon, especially if Saints are playing at home.
