Here is a better photo. Also look at the expiry date 2024 on the case 2026 on the battery. What a con . Waiting to here back from the battery supply at the mo.

It's a feature of lithium cells on electric drills that they seem to work without apparently degrading until one day they just stop. Similarly, my eperb may self-test, but how long would it transmit for? Ive tried the DIY route but it's very hard to get the 4x 3v 'D' cells and there's carriage issues. The connecting straps are also spot welded. So, it sits there as a 'will-it won't-it ' bit of maybe junk.

I took an expired battery out (user replacement was acceptable on the model) and the voltage was as good as a new one.

When I changed mine, it was a Li-ion, The voltage curve on a Lithium ion battery is almost flat between 85 - 15% then drops off a cliff.



Voltage can't be used as an analogue for charge on modern batteries.

I assume that the SOC graph is for a new battery under load, it would be interesting to see the curve for a battery that is effectively left on the shelf for a long period of time then used.
