DOES ANYONE KNOW THE OWNERS OF NYALA A GAFFER FROM I THINK 20'S.I HAVE FOUND SOME PICTURES OF THE BOAT FROM 1986 THAT MAY BE OF INTEREST TO THEM

Is this anything to to with the Maurice Griffiths designed Nyala, featured in the book "Keeping Nyala in Style - How to Improve a Classic Boat/Maintain Original..." (do a simple google search)?

One of the curses of old age is a poor memory. The owner's name is Sylvia Murphy, I think. As she has written frequently for CB you should be able to send a message to her her through the magazine's office.

I did not buy her in 1984

I'd gone to look at her, in the Ferry Dock at Woodbridge. She had had quite an extensive refit but I was underwhelmed by the boat in general; to be blunt there were two cats living aboard and the were bilges half full of cat litter, and I doubted that she would sail very well. As I walked up the gangplank I saw Mirelle on the other side of the jetty, not officially for sale. No contest.

Hi, just came across this post and would be most interested in any information/pics of this boat as it was owned by my Grandfather back in the 70's - we even have a mention of our family name in the book as I believe that Sylvia Murphy may have bought the boat from my Grandmother.
