There I was herding the masses this afternoon, when what did I see?

Gosh, look!

I had a double take, but it was without doubt...........

But of course, we now know why it was there - Sorry Sir Bob, but nobody was there to meet em - 4 boats finally went over and 4 boats with the same number of crew came back! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

But look, who's this and what on earth does he have in his hand?

Aha, so that's it!

He was doing the spring cleaning, it can't have been anything else as he had no passengers to clean up after. It must have been the tear streaks down the window pane and and all across the helm position.

But I said, "you can't be seen in that state! So..............

Thanks Kim. I said I'd post it tonight. Shame you had rather an abortive trip. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The Devil makes work for idle hands. he he.

Never seen Kim on board a boat not doing anything but fiddling or spring cleaning.

I was either cleaning up some of the salt we shipped on Saturday when crossing to France (bit lively English side) of the pasta liberally spread around when deciding to cook lunch at 18 knots on the return leg. Or probably both.

Yes, a little disappointing about numbers but the whole exercise made me stop and think, perhaps it did the same for a few others, in which case all not wasted, especially as there were legitimate weather reasons for many not going and despite dire warnings to the contrary no-one had to be rescued or otherwise assisted.
