UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary Notices:
1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Three reductions of depth In the east side of the Princes Channel. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Foul. - A temporary notice warning of a lost anchor and chain 1.4nm SE of Southwold Harbour entrance.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Three isolated reduction of depth in the River Thames, one in Blackwell Reach close off Blackwell Point, and two in Woolwich Reach, one off the Thames Refinery and a second, just east of the Woolwich Ferry, south side.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Dredged areas. NM Block. Legend. Berth. - This notice notifies a change (larger) of the defined dredged area for shipping at the BP wharfage at Thamesport on the River Medway.
5. DOVER STRAIT - Depths. - One reduction of depth just south of the Foxtrot 3 light ship almost due east of the North Foreland. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
6. ENGLAND - East Coast - Buoyage. - This notice is confirming changes of the location of the SW Barrow WCB and the Barrow No 13 SHB originally reported earlier this year by Trinity House No 20 of 2025. Barrow No 13 - very small move, SW Barrow moved to the SW.

1. River Thames - Sea Reach - OIKOS Jetty 2 - Lifting Operations - commencing on Monday 10th November for approximately 3 days, lifting operations will be taking place at OIKOS Jetty 2 in Sea Reach. The exact location is indicated by a red box on the chartlet. (see the Local List at: Notices to Mariners Works involve lifting operations from Crane Barge ‘HEBO-P41’ alongside the berth with tug ‘ELISA’ and safety boat ‘STANLEY C’ in attendance. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set
out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘Speed Reductions’, with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed, The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Further information will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF 68.
2. River Thames - Sea Reach - OIKOS 1 Jetty - Diving Operations - commencing on Monday 10th November 2025, and for a period of five days, diving operations will take place at OIKOS No. 1 berth on Canvey Island as shown on the chartlet. Crane Barge ‘HAVEN SEAFORTH’ and Workboat ‘STANLEY C’ will be in attendance and will be displaying the following signals while diving is taking place:
By day, International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’, ‘Alpha (A)’ and a red flag near the diver’s point of entry into the water.
By night, illuminated rigid replicas of the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’ and ‘Alpha (A)’.
Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘Speed Reductions’. Further information will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF 68.
3. River Thames - Sea Reach - Yantlet Channel Extension - an extended secondary channel in the Yantlet Channel has been established to the south of the Sea Reach Channel. This extension runs further west to Lower Hope Buoy and extends 0.7 cables from the southern extent of the main channel. This amendment will shortly be reflected on all PLA and Admiralty products. The minimum depth within the new secondary channel is 4.3 metres. Vessels that can safely navigate outside of the main channel are advised to do so to remain clear of vessels arriving, swinging, or departing London Gateway. The extension of the secondary channel runs west from the Cliffe Foot port hand buoy to the crossing point for small craft across to Mucking Point No 5. What that means is smaller ships will use the secondary channel in either direction south of the main Yantlet Channel and we should stay further south should traffic use it. There is plenty of room for us.
4. PORT OF EAST ANGLIA - BATHYMETRIC SURVEY – RIVER PORT, OUTER HARBOUR, PORT LIMITS & APPROACHES - Bathymetric survey activity will be undertaken commencing 06TH November 2025 ongoing through until 22nd November 2025. Peel Ports Ltd has commissioned Randall Surveys LLP to carry out hydrographic surveys of four areas at Great Yarmouth Harbour. These are: a multibeam echo sounder survey (MBES) of the River port and the confluence of the rivers Yare & Bure, a MBES of the Port Limits, a MBES of the Outer Harbour, and a single beam (SBES) monitoring survey of the port approaches. Survey Vessel RS 11 will be conducting the survey, due caution and attention must be exercised when navigating through all port areas during this period including observance to maintaining safe distance. RS 11 will be monitoring VHF Ch12. Further information may be obtained from Great Yarmouth LPS on VHF Channel 12, call sign “Yarmouth Radio” or telephone 01493 335511.
5. Approaches to King’s Lynn. - Notification of Tidal Water Sampling Operations. - Routine Tidal Water Sampling Operations will be carried out in The Wash at various locations by Motor Vessel “WM Proteus”. These operations are scheduled to begin 11.11.2025 and to be completed by 13.11.2025.
