1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. -
One reduction of depth in the Long Sand Head two-way route. As at 15.2m this is the business of the larger container ships, unlikely to hinder leisure craft(!)

1. RIVER THAMES - LONG REACH - DIVING OPERATIONS -
from 2nd January to 12th January 2024, diving operations will be taking place at DIFT terminal. Works will occur between the hours of 0800 and 2000, Monday to Friday only. The location of works is indicated on the chartlet. Diving operations will be conducted from vessel ‘ASSASSIN’, and will be timed around high-tide and low-tide slack water periods.
Requests for vessels to proceed with caution or pass at slow speed will be made by London VTS on VHF ch.68, in accordance with the PLA Port Information Guide, under “London VTS”, section 4. Any further details will be broadcast by London VTS. Vessel ‘ASSASSIN’ should display International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’ and ‘Alpha (A)’ as appropriate. Any further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Ch 68.

2. Orwell Bridge Light Failures - 2 Navigational lights are extinguished under the Orwell Bridge on the North Side. The Lower light is still in operation marking the navigational channel. The Extinguished Lights are the upper lights Port and Starboard Side. The Channel remains marked by 6 navigation lights. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution and report any further defects to ONS on VHF CH 68.
