As any fool nose, the deep-fried Mars bar is an east coast delicacy born in gravitationally challenged Stonehaven (diesel 45p/l from the back of a car).

I agree with Boots, where are the midges, the waves washing over the promenade, the boarded up pubs and shops, the constantly quarrelling locals, the cheery drunks, the chip papers blowing in the breeze? very subjective images chosen.
Anyway, surely we should avoid making Argyll seem too attractive especially too yachties, solitude is hard to find as it is and there are more marinas over on the East Coast.
