Can anyone advise what type of plug is required to connect the GPS antenna cable to a Northstar 5505 Chartplotter please?

This is a photograph of the plotter in question. Is anyone able to identify the type of plug which would fit the antenna socket please?

Whenever I have a connection that needs a plug and I cannot identify - I take unit to a local electronics shop that sells connectors etc and they usually find the right one !

Lots of very inexpensive GPS antennas are available with SMA connectors.

At that price you can carry a spare. My plotter uses a similar one and works perfectly inside a GRP hull.
