OK, fair comment, please vote for an acceptable alternative in case of strong Northerlies for N Wales meet. I am not able to attend so will not vote.
You may vote for either or both. I suggest that if there is an equal result, it may be worth running 2 simultaneous meets - remember, we are talking about bad weather choices here so distance may be critical in some vessels and for some crews.
It's mainly stinkies coming from the North and the speed you lot go at there's only bout half an hours difference between Llandwyn / Port Dinllaen / Aberdaron.
Yer intrepid raggie on the other hand has to travel for days on end just to round Bardsey - and then who knows what perils await...every finger a marlin spike and blood of stokholm tar!
In any case I've got me fuel bill to consider - If I had to go all the way to Llandwyn and back it could cost me an extra fiver!
[ how did you hot wire Moony?
Simps.
Activate the battery isolation switch.
Then [--word removed--] about with the ignition switch.
Then [--word removed--] the fuel pump thinghy whilst [--word removed--] the oil pump and there You are.
Ring de ding ding ding and off One goes.
Simps as I said. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Suspect he took MF out on sea trials and towed the whole bloody marina round there.

OK one for the locals. Years ago we used to be able to hire, a beer barrel, with a pump attached, all that was needed was a foot pump. Else you could hire a hand pump. Surely one of these on the back of MF would serve. We once sat about 23 and never used the dining room (That was the buffet area), all in the dry, it was pooring with rain.
Is there not a boozer with service like this in N Wales.

I,ll stump up the Fiver.
As You seem like a 'Very Very Nice Man'
hlb is offering MF as a Drinking Platform.
Llanddwyn seems it might be the Popular choice as Venue 2.
Nuedists frequent the place too.
A few Oldists won't go amiss there seemingly /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
That looks like a 'Fish Free Zone'
Was MajorCatastrophe with You?

Its not the pub thats the problem, its the journey. Too far for raggies from the south and too lumpy round Bardsey, Tripods etc if the forecast proves to be true. Beer & wine can be carried aboard!
Not started taxing the wind yet - but sailing north in a northerly is a bit like a stinkie powering a petrol mobo with diesel......it aint gonna happen /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Anyway, I'm confident that with all the hot air coming from Anglesey and Conwy there might still be a windshift and we can go back to Porth Dinllaen /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
All - having talked to raven and Kwaka today, the idea of Aberdaren is gaining some momentum. Check it out on any map but there is good reason to believe that this could be a viable "plan B".
Reason - all the forecasts are now pointing to northerlies. Nothing severe but enough to make for an uncomfortable night in the shallows of Porth Dinllaen. There will be women folk aboard some boats, so we have to sell them a safe passage and comfy night. Can't be doing with having to motor off into the dark with SWMBO giving me grief!
The other thing is that it's half way for both camps from the north & south and for the yachties, that has to be farer.
