This weather has been providing a great opportunity for a bit of practice for the Northern route, as the attached photo shows. At least I won't have to take my ice cream maker with me.....

Penguins on the Orwell - that must put an end to talk of global warming. 
Not seen any Polar Bears yet but I am told they struggle to get the wrappers off.

Actually it was Brighton Marina, April 2008. I was on the way to Plymouth for the JAC08 and dodged in there on the strength of a forecast N8 and snow (it was right!). The snow is real, but the penguins materialised as the level in the rum bottle went down.....
