Nortech testing

Thanks for everyones help, I've got the hang off it now as you can see.
Yeah, by this rate we will soon ask you to stop posting this stuff - drooling on the keyboard ain't good for the PC, you know....! :D

That's an impressive supercharger for good!
Is "Stealth" the name of the builder? Over the Pond, I've seen several hi-power engines on fast boats, built by Teague, Pfaff, Raylar, Potter, but I never came across Stealth.
Were they also fitted to a NT36? If so, I guess she wasn't a piece of cake to drive!

Yes there were on an NT36, not sure who built them but the boat was painted black and had Stealth on the side so they were done to match the boat. The difference between the NT36 with Mercruiser 700 x2 and the one with 1200 x2 was night and day, it was very twitchy and although it would do 140 knts it didn't feel nice, it was definitely a white knuckle ride as you were aware you were on the edge of a disaster all the time, as here in the fjords you have to keep and eye out for crab pots, the odd chunk of timber and ferry wakes which will ruin your day at those speeds.

It has a drive and transom made by IMCO, and well spotted! the 3 rd lever is to raise and lower the water pickup/dump tube as it has a water ballast tank in the bow as it tends to fly off waves very bow high at speed.

Interesting, I never came across such hi-low water pickup solution before.
Is the lever connected to the throttle, or are you supposed to adjust it depending on sea conditions and leave it there?
I mean, it could make sense to raise the pickup when the throttle is hammered, and lower it when the throttle is released, hence my doubt about how it actually works.
Can't really understand from the pic, but while the center lever is obviously the throttle, the one on the right looks like it could be somehow linked to it...

All the levers are separate, left is shift, centre throttle with trim button at the top right, right tank pickup. Its a tube which slides in a tube on the transom covering or uncovering ports, full up is dump port open, 1/2 down nothing in or out and is flush with hull bottom, full down it extends below the hull and the forward facing port picks up water, very simple and foolproof. You just use it manually.
