I have removed two keel bolts for inspection and they were bedded with this type of non-setting mastic which is till incredibly sticky and extremely good looking after 40 years of service so it seems to make sense to re-bed with something along the same lines. Dolfinite seems to be my best bet, however it's not available in my area. If anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful.

Cheers

Like you I couldn't find specific advice, but no reason why it would be different from the general advice for bonding keels, e.g. Keel to Hull sealant.

What I actually did was daub the bolt in marine grease, then used sikaflex 291 at the top, under the washer. It's been good now for seven years.

Not a critical sealing point. A butyl or polysulphide would be non setting. Arbokol have both arbo.co.uk/products/polysulphide-sealants/arbokol-1000/ dortechdirect.co.uk/catalog/product/view/id/797.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI79T0w6-Q_QIVAevtCh2nrgMOEAQYAiABEgJRC_D_BwE

However I would not buy that just for this job but would use any sealant being used elsewhere on the boat such as 3M5200, Sikaflex 291 or CT1 among others. You won't ever need to touch it again!

Thanks mate, I think I'll take your advice and go with 291.

On another note.. I'm replacing the nuts, washers and plates with stainless hardware, however keeping the galvanised bolts (too hard to find replacements, would need to be custom fabricated). Could you also recommend an anti-seize/anti-corrosion lubricant suitable for a stainless/galv nut and bolt combo? Perhaps Lanocote or a nickel based anti-seize compound?

Cheers
