Non Boaty - Internet help

I cant seem to get into any secure pages or sites
I tried to look at my account on BTopenworld and is says :-

"The page cannot be displayed"
"The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings" etc.

This has happened on numerous sites - including craftinsure where I couldnt get in.

Could it be the set up on my PC and if so what should it be ?
it's running windows XP

Could be an accidental change to your security settings, if you are using a good virus checker and a firewall medium security is fine.
More likely is that BT openworld is having temporary problems, clean up your cache and reboot - more likely than not your problems will end there
