It would appear that the electrical cable running down the inside of my mast has decided it is time to swing a bit and make a noise.
I cannot remember it doing it before.
I have heard this on quiet a lot of boats.
It is more of a pain than anything else when we are rolling a bit at anchor.
Is there anyway to stop the cable swinging inside the mast and stop the noise.
thanks

My mast has noisy cables and they are in a conduit within the mast. It is only noticeable when at anchor and there is nothing that can be done about it imho apart from filling the conduit with foam which will then stop replacement of cables in the future.

Sometimes you can dismantle a halyard or lighting point and feed a piece of seizing wire in, round and back .. Then feed something kinder on to that like a strip of plastic or bungee etc.
Easier with mast steps ..
I have successfully riveted aluminium saddles in this way once

Thus you get peaceful nights before the next I mast stepping session, which might equate to nooky plus ...
