Noahs final curtain

Re: Fight

Well it's easy enough to get support, if you use all the right emmotive arguements, with half trueths and evading answers.
If Noah just said he was broke I might have had some sympathy, but Noah is above all that.

Re: Fight

Theres not much probem for the kids except living with Noahs Ark full of pretence and subtituge. So they are moving to a new house some where and a new school. oads of families do that many times in there lives, and take it all in there stride. How many folk get posted to the other end of the country or abroad. They dont set up a petition group, march to the house of commons or come here, they just get on with it.

Does anyone know where this guy Noah works, perhaps they could assist him.

Un-employed due to health apparently.

Well it seems that he is on his own. I guess if you were employed and a valuable asset your company they would try to help out, sadly not the case it seems here.

Unfair

What has his employment status got to do with the rights and wrongs of this. As I undestand it he is a house husband looking after 5 kids, that hard work enough for you?

.....can't be arsed.....

Re: Unfair

Perhaps you had better look at my reply again. As for employment status it has everything to do with this, if this guy is unable to work then he is at a disadvantage against someone in well paid employment who may have more options/contacts open to him/her.

The Sad reality

Is that the family will now become homeless, Social services etc will become involved, and they will then have to be housed by the local council, all of this costing thousands upon thousand of tax payers money! just seems a bit pointless
just because they, don't conform !! IMHO of course!!!

Re: The Sad reality

On the other hand. I like many more find keeping a boat, some what of a luxury that I wonder now and then if I can aford. If I was without work and no other income. I know dam well I cant aford it. Maybe we also could get a boat keeping grant from the council. We are after all an underpriviledged minority position.

Re: The Sad reality

That is a fair point, and in the normal course of things I would agree, however this guy is living pretty cheaply as he has no running costs (no engine ) no insurance to pay cos no-one wants the risk, so he has only got his Marina fees still gotta be a lot cheaper than moving into a rent paid 6 bedroom house !!!! All imho of course !!!

Re: aah yes

but how many families have there father protesting about the move to the local press and essentially have their whole way of life changed from sea to land
granted kids are durable beings but i still reckon this cannot be fun for them

Re: aah yes

Well their hardly living ON THE SEA] In Penarth marina, are they. It's surounded by penthouse flats and theres only a foot of water between them and dry land. I doubt is they have ever been to sea. Not in that boat anyhow.
Paying insurance is not an option for anyone else. No matter where they live, except a council house where maybe it dont matter. Less having a car, then its ilegal.

Yes. Father protesting to the press about having to move house is embarasing.

I should have compained to the newspapers when the kids had to move schools and live in an old barn instead of the jam and butty estate house. No they just got on with it and made new friends. I learned a new job four times in my life, and not just a different job. Fruit merchant. Long distance lorry driver. I mean Saudi Arabia first time. Then Arcitectural mouldings designer, manufacturer, Managing Director. No courses. Just did it, Now a bit of that and I'm also a landlord and sell flags!! I,m not bragging. But no one else owes me a living. I just have to get my arse into gear and change, when things go wrong. Its not easy. Just tough.

What a fool this chap is !!!------ I seem to remember some time ago in previous threads by noah that he offered 10K by the marina to help him move on . Can't say the marina has been unsympathetic if this is the case !!! Why did n't he take it ??
Noah should wake up !! by his own admission the boat is damaged and uninsurable .So what does he intend to do?? Fix it ???? I dont think so ! YAWN YAWN !!
