The MCA statement [re foot and mouth] reads: "meat and meat products, milk and dairy products sourced within Great Britain for consumption onboard any vessel including recreational craft should not be landed abroad, nor any waste stemming from the consumption of these products .

So chaps, if you've had a ham sandwich within the last couple of days, you'd better not use the latrines when you cross the channel.
