Whitby’s piers have synced lights.
As do the lights on the buoys at the north entrance to the Suez Canal by Port Said. They looked great all flashing together; you were in no doubt which way to go into the canal.

That's my understanding. There's a couple of GPS synchronised PHM in the entrance to Falmouth IIRC. Too many buoys are like cooks and broth. Conwy river used to have 7 which were easily identified. There are now 15 which present a bewildering display.I was told at the time that they all run on GPS clock.
Drifting a tad, does anyone know how they synchronise flashing lights at roadworks? I presume it's either timing or radio control.
