No claims discount....

I own a share in a Power Boat kept in the Med, and consequently I am named on the insurance policy. I am now purchasing a yacht here in UK in my own name, but the insurance co. will not allow me any no claims discount even though I have not had a claim in 45 years ( touch wood)..
Has any-one had the same problem ???? please advise...
