Night in Chichester

Run by seasonal staff this time of year and rammed with riffraff :D

My boat is more pleasant than the restaurant and overflow have to eat in the lobby - which is why I always get it delivered to the boat.... Something nice about the sound of the cork being pulled across the water & the neighbours are nice too - especially on S Pontoon...

:) We couldn't get a seat in the restaurant the other day it was so rammed, so ate in the campervan rather than walking back to Birdham Pool. I think they do great curries, the breakfasts are not bad, but lunch food is standard imo

For real time wind and sea conditions at Chichester Entrance - also Camber Dock in Portsmouth, Bramble bank in mid Solent & Southampton Water, try ' www.Chimet.co.uk '.

Sorry to quote my own post, but I have been informed by someone who should know that the ' Cambernet ' readout on this system is in Chichester Harbour, not Camber Dock in Portsmouth as I had misunderstood.

I used to love the cider house but we would get so drunk getting back was always a challenge ! On saying that you had to like butter and garlic ..

We used to walk there every Friday night (and sometimes Saturday night as well):o

Their seafood was outstanding

Julia and Tony now run the Bluebell Inn at Cocking which is about a 20 minute drive from the Marina

Well worth a try if you have a car at Chi
