Nice conversion. (y) Two thoughts. The vessel before conversion was one of thousands that became surplus to requirements following the introduction of fishing quotas and also EEC regulations requiring different standards for commercial fishing vessels which the old time trawlers like that one failed to meet. They were practically going for a song in many fishing ports in the UK some years ago, but of course all well used and the conversions would have cost a bucketful of money,
The other thought was, run the video back and have a look at the Bulwarks round that after deck!! Blimey! all that money spent tarting the boat up and those bulwarks look like that all they got was just a coat of paint. At least they could have knocked the dents out or even lined them with something to cover up the scars of her fishing days.

Backin 1969 there used to be a yacht agent in Chichester who had lots of Baltic traders on their books,one was 1,700 quid…….Ithink not soon after it was not possible to sell them out of the country……

I'm impressed 132 + tons, 300 HP Diesel and a Genny and they quote 5 litres an hour at 7 knots.

Cheap steaming Wansey, quick grab it. :)
