I live in Penarth Marina in a newly built house overlooking the water.

The very reason I was attracted to this marina is that it is not just a parking lot for wealthy boat owners. It has a vibrant community of people living on and around the marina.

The boat in question is delightful and adds tremendous character and interest to the marina and I Know that vince is in process of improving the roof of the boat. I can't understand why residents would complain. If they don't like it they should live near a marina.

Thank you very much - I called Vince & Mary to read them your post and it really brightened their day. Vince is working hard to get the topsides and railings painted by the end of the month.

A letter to Crest Nicholson, not to the marina office but to their HQ, would make a difference, coming from a resident. If you know of any like minded residents, ask them to do the same. A copy for Vince would possibly help him. Naturally, don't mention the matter to the "we want a fleet of Beneteaus or Princesses's not more than 1 year old" crowd.

Very observant!

It seems that Crest Nicholson like to move the goalposts. Rather than co-operate, the relatively new marina manager got a bee in his bonnet that this would be an improvement ... but he's not the sharpest tool in the toolbox.

I also know Vince and Marie and the children on the MV Picton, and i am disgusted by all of the so called Management at Crest Nicholson. I have been berthed at Penarth for 3 years and have enjoyed cruising around the SW. However i am insensed by the behavour shown towards this lovely family who are well known and very much liked by all the berth holders of this marina.
With the options now open to berth elsewhere within the barrage or Swansea or even Watchet just across the water, i shall show my distain by berthing elsewhere and not giving my valuable money to such an organisation.
I hope the other berth holders show their distain towards this Dictatorship in the same manner! (hit them where it hurts- £s!!!!!!)
