Is this one of those underwater James Bond thingies or a baby Jetski? I had a land scooter once which was propelled by pushing it along with one foot on the pavement, I can't quite see how this would work on water, divine intervention notwithstanding.

There's a nice wide slip at Hythe and you can jet across to The Hamble and slalom up the mooring trots.

Another good place in Bucklers Hard (slip has a step so avoid low water). Go down the lane and hard left down the track behind the car park to the slip. If you don't tell the harbour master he won't see you so it will be free. The Beaulieu River is peaceful and calm so you can realy go flat out without bouncing too much. Plenty of boats to buzz, and it has lots of tree lined areas so you won't disturb people who live ashore nearby.

Not very much anyway.

Hasn't convinced me she doesn't need a lifejacket, or is that one of them starts the engine.

He'll end up crashing into my boat or spilling my Bombay!!

Who you callin mad ye great sassenach wazzock? And breasts is not Jockanese the richt phrase fur ra jugs is "Bags o' tatties" .. mind ye ah prefer a fuller figure masell, hers are mair like tattie scones. Whit ye daing eatin' a curry on yer wee boat anyroads, yons fur walking back fae the pub wi' and drapping in ra gutter. Ah've been looking at the scooter beastie and there's nae indicators oan it. Should ah take it tae ra garage tae get some fitted?
