I look forward to meeting you, we are on B pontoon in Bray - our boat is called LAKME.
Best solution to the lock is to come down Friday evening and then have a superb fry up in the cafe Saturday morning before setting off.

On the subject of Fender socks, I'll give you a couple of outings and you will be taking them off again. The algea/green stuff down the sides of the locks will scrape up nicely into those socks and they will always look dirty. I speak from experience!

Ah! You may be right, but I've discovered mine will pressure wash with no difficulty - even just a good hose does the rick. BUT, I'll give it a try, and if it fails, well.... we tried!

I'll call by once the boat is in the marina - probably middle of May now.
