New Tender for Blue Angel

the mini crane on it...
"Mini" you say? MINI? I'd love to see what you consider an "average" size crane installation on a tender Michaf :D

Why would you put a crane on a boat that is so strong it can take 10x the load needed to capsize the boat?

Also I think it might be hot dip galvanised...

I think it's an ORY80 but not sure from the pic
Not sure how any suggestion made so far (diving, disabled, etc) explains the carpet!

There must be some specific use for the thing, let's make it a quiz!
LOL, good idea, I won't spill the beans yet, 'cause so far only the mother ship brand (not the model, though) has been correctly spotted.
Otoh, it's funny that I already posted this pic in the M2 build thread (see link below), but it didn't raise a lot of interest at that time..... :)
Even more funny that some hints for this quiz were already included in that post, back in 2012. Talk about vision!

PS/edit: the last sentence in that 2012 post should read:
Which would come in handy, if and when you should bring the Google team around SoF, to carry their pretty heavy u/w equipment - as this one is doing...
With "Google team" hyperlinked to http://edition.cnn.com/2012/09/26/tech/web/google-sea-view/index.html
Btw, why on earth doesn't the forum accept descriptive URLs anymore? That's something I really can't understand!

LOL, I'm sure jfm understood what you meant, and his comment was referred to the fact that the manual crane is not so "mini" for being placed on the tender itself... :D
Anyway, here's the mother ship, an ORY 70 amazingly equipped and professionally maintained.

I met her captain during a trip to AUS, and even if I didn't have the pleasure of cruising with him, I can safely recommend himself and his crew to anyone who might be interested in a private cruise along the Great Barrier Reef.
Oh, and since you posted a (very nice) drone footage, here's another nice collection of clips made from and around that very same boat...

Have been eyeing those Seabobs for a while, but there's already so much to maintain, not mentioning the price. The problem is I'm already so busy while over the islands between spearfishing, scuba, trawling, kiting, suping, droning, my wife already complains I don't see them it probably wouldn't be wise...

Very nice boat indeed with lots of fun gear and of course, down under... Mmmmmmmm!
