New Nordhavn 41

A video about the finished product:

I am surprised that they mould the hull in two halves. Don't recall to have seen this before. Not sure about the pattern of the woodwork but otherwise a very interesting boat.
would be nice if MBY can get their hands on one for a test.
Some comments about the video. I did not like the fisheye lens the whole video. And tell that guy, after he closes a draw, he should push the button in! It annoyed the hell out of me.
As for the boat? Well, it’s flawless. Did I like the design? More than I did before the video. These are very niche boats, big money for small boats and it’s not a speedboat. I guess if I only had a forty foot dock at the bottom of my garden in my Miami summer house, then yes, I’d fill it with the most expensive boat that could fit.
I would like to see a video on the flybridge crane in operation.
But all in all, yeah nice boat. It’s a Nordhavn but not as we know it.
Give me one

A Nordie in Miami?!?
That's the worst tool for the job that you can think of.
An Outerlimits 43 with 2700hp and racing harness on the seats is what you need, for reaching Key West or Bahamas after lunch, have a swim there, and come back in time for dinner.
Or maybe a Midnight Express center console, if three digits speed is not your thing but you still can't accept to take forever to get nowhere.
In fact, with any trawler, days rather than hours would be a more appropriate measurement unit, just for reaching an anchorage not as dumb as anywhere along the S FL coast.
Go up to the PNW instead, and then we could talk of Nordhavns. If you don't mind the awful weather, that is.

I see myself not so much ‘Miami Vice’ as more ‘Old Man and the Sea’

My wife does our cruise schedule. It usually goes something like, ‘let’s go boating...as long as we’re back by lunch.....’

Well a Nordhavn is the wrong boat then!

Yesterday when I saw a really nice Harley Davidson she said, ´perhaps your next wife will like motorbikes ‘

Believe me you'd look really good on a Harley. Think of all those middle aged women who will be panting to get into your knickers as you burble past them in St Tropez in your Raybans with your saddle bag tassles fluttering in the wind. Go on, buy one. You know you want to ;)

I don’t know how you do it but that is exactly how I see myself
