They have now posted a video by Jim Leishman with more details on the 41. The part about the choice for twin Beta engines starts at 6:40. To keep costs down this twin setup makes sense versus the single main engine + wing engine. In another Q&A video they mentioned an ex -works price of 695k USD which is not bad at all I think.
Very interesting video; more manufacturers should post such videos rather than the marketing bla.

I agree with some of the other posters that the main disadvantage of these boats is not being able to speed up occasionally during coastal cruising that the vast majority of people do. In that sense there must be good market for the Azimut Magellano/ Greenline/ Swift trawler type of boats. It surprises me that other mainstream brands have not picked up on that; better seakeeping at low and midrange speeds, less fuel consumption, smaller engines/lower cost.....

I‘m not one for h&s knee jerkiness but that video above is nuts. Zero safety wear, folk standing under crane booms and not even paying attention, under raised loads - how heavy is the boat? 19 tons? I’m sure I even saw a pair of crocs!
All in the name of profit margins.

I went to all that time and effort to upload some great photos of the new Nordhavn 41 and you comment on Turkish health and safety infractions

I bet you dont get invited to a lot of parties :)

Lol. I did only comment on the video didn’t I? :D
The boat itself looks amazing. The helm is especially nice to my eyes.

Im surprised they have gone with only one Garmin screen. There doesnt look like there is any room for another one

Doesnt really offer any viewing options or redundancy..... most people will have to get a ipad and tripod

A Gardner is probably the best engine for a boat like a Nordhavn but you’d have difficulty finding spares anywhere

No you dont as they are one of the best catered for classic engine and their strength and durability means so many are still around, I currently have 3 in the cave.

At 7 kts you have plenty of time to switch between displays :)

Yes, they've upgraded from the ubiquitous flip flops!

I really like the look of this boat and the idea of what you could do with it. The reality is though that semi displacement hull makes more sense to me because I’d want to be able to go faster at times maybe even all the time.

I really like it too

It would be a great loop boat but it's doesn't have a flybridge

I think they they really made a mistake not including the option for a flybridge

What do you think of the T43 Trawler ?

A video about the finished product:

I am surprised that they mould the hull in two halves. Don't recall to have seen this before. Not sure about the pattern of the woodwork but otherwise a very interesting boat.
would be nice if MBY can get their hands on one for a test.
