Just like to let you know I think my new website is ready for the motor cruising public! I would appreciate any visitors and constructive comments. These can be logged on the site in the guest book. Go easy on me as it's my first. I started on Saturday morning just so I could link to a cheesy photo on my profile to this forum! Things just started to snowball from there!

I've got the obligatory boat pics including some of us being pursued by the coastguard helicopter through the Solent, and some links to what I think are useful resources (north atlantic wave height predictions etc).

Let me know! The link is below...

Links back please - asked nicely

As you are linking out of here can we have a link back for ybw.com please (same applies to the rest of you with websites in your footers...seems a fair way of allowing them ongoing; noticed that some of you are happy to try and suck a bit of traffic out but not return any which is a little bit unfair).

Incidentally, commercial companies have to pay for enhancements in our directory but we do have a reciprocal links deal for yacht clubs and not-for-profit associations. If you are interested please PM cfrew or send a mail to claire_frew@ipcmedia.com

If anyone wants the individual URLs for different bits of our site (such as the weather nowcasts and two week tides which you won't find anywhere else), our directory with 8,000 companies and growing, our holiday/charter section (which has recently had location search added) and our magazine indexes then I'll mail them to you or you can take them straight from the top navigation bar here (click on 'weather & tides', 'directory', 'holidays' and 'indexes' respectively. Individual mag URLs can be gained from the drop down index at the top and don't forget our private and brokerage boats for sale sections (gained through 'Buying a boat'). Oh yes and you can also still view everything listed at London show - no direct link from forum but look in the navigation bars of mag sites or go here:

Very nice but why dont you just put For Sale at the top of the home page so we dont have to wade through the rest of the blurb to find the real purpose of the site

I don\'t mind a bit

of subtle advertising, Depsol etc do enough of it. This is a bit blatant. My view is Jerbro should be honest enough to make it clear what his real intention is.

Fair comment. I've added to the links page.

No need when you guys can tell the world for me.

Seriously, I buried the link in question because that is not the main purpose of the site. Main purpose is....try out building a web site, share some pictures, raise awareness of what must be one of the earliest sport-cruiser-type hardtops (ready to be told otherwise!), find out who else has got one (I here there is a turquoise coloured one somewhere), share some interesting links.

I've had some positive comments in the guestbook, so thanks all for that. Keep them coming.

I always have had...

...a link from Madoc Yacht Club to YBW. Not just from a courtesy point of view but one of necessity in my opinion. YBW is a great boating resource and is valuable to anyone visiting our site. Cheers.

Re: I always have had...

Thanks Dave.

I've checked and you are in the directory as follows:

Madoc Yacht Club
Gelli Grin, Maentwrog, Gwynedd LL41 4HY, UK
Tel: +44 (0)1766 590432
Fax: +44 (0)1766 512084

I'll ask Claire to check the site and add your web and email links. The club can have a description too if it wants. Let us know who is in charge of such things and we'll mail them.
