New marina on tideway

Must be the development below Wandsworth Bridge but just above the railway bridge on the Hammersmiff side of the river. There's no creek or inlet there so the pontoons must be mainstream.

It's the old wharf - been derelict for years, just a bit before where King's Road become "respectable" ; quite near Lots Road power station that was.
Technically correct on the 'Ammersmith side but a long way from it.

The railway line spurred off from Clarpham Junction was used mainly for goods and was an excellent way for us southerners to get to Birmingham and points north in the days of the Sussex Scot train service from Brighton to Glasgow.
The line goes straight past the backside of Chelsea Football club on one side and Earl's Court (West Brompton entrance) on the other.

Potentially a prime location for boaty folks with loads of money. Mark you it might be cheaper to liveaboard in the week rather than have a London flat.

I think the wharf was a part of the Kensington (?) canal most of which was infilled later when they built the railway.

Went past it last Saturday night and it looks pretty good.

However no protection from wake (your in the no speed limit zone .... sorry advisory/catch me if you can zone!:D)

Cadogan Pier seems a more established option. Perhaps this new one has parking which would set it apart from Cadogan and justify the cost

Not somewhere looking for passing visitors in boats methinks. In some respects a pity as it would be better located for the museums etc than Limehouse, especially as no tidal restrictions. But looks more expensoive than St Kats and you don't bounce around there:-)

Rounded bottom boats need not apply . The constant cost of breakages due to the inevitable wake problems may make a London flat more financially efficient. Yeh, your right, I am just belly aching cos I cant afford it (snigger). ;)
