Can anyone recommend a smallish, outdoor security camera, with wifi capability + local storage + solar powered + ability to define area of surveillance + reasonably cheap say from Ali Express inside current UK limit.
There's been construction going on in the marina for the last 3 years, and the new bars and cafes are starting to open. Security is crap with no WiFi or CCTV, and there are places where outsiders can get into the actual marina area. I'm hoping to sneak a wifi connection from one of the new bars or cafes, but it may not work so this is somewhat of an experiment.
Please don't ask me how much I'm paying for the marina :(.

This is probably far more than you want. But it has solar, 4G communication (rather than WiFi, options with WiFi also available), local storage, solar powered, and you can define the area to watch. It will also record sound, and in the event of an alarm (intelligent person detection with AI) you it can be programmed to set off a siren, flash its light. Instead of a siren you can use your own sound track.

You can search further on the same web-site for different features/resolutions/infrared capability/AI capability/siren, ....

We use a hik-vision camera with siren for making sure nobody gets too close to the edge of our pool as well as for the security of our domain. We currently have 10 cameras of a couple of different kinds all connected to a recorder device (we don't use the local storage in the cameras). We can also get different combinations of cameras to record when an instrusion even occurs - we can set time schedules, etc, etc. You get the idea. Almost everything you can think of.

You can send alarms, (with pictures) to your mobile phone, and you can call up the recorded video of the event from your phone, computer, etc. (And zoom in, play back slowly, etc, etc).

I'm very pleased with our Eufy SoloCam S220. I paid £49.99 for it from Amazon, and there's no need for a monthly subscription.

Its charge level stayed above 80% during the rubbish January and February weather, and it's now getting back to fully charged as the weather improves.

With all of these cameras, take note of the precise reference and look it up on Aliexpress for a decent price reduction.
You should not ever need to pay a subscription - except for the sim card if you want 4g/4g connectivity or may be for the marina's wifi.

Super value at that price. On amazon UK @ £60 now or 2 for £90 but doesn't ship to Northern Ireland :(. I bought 2 x s340's @€129 each from Amazon Spain when I was in Madrid last week.
