Hi,
Just bought a new Jabsco compact flush. After much swearing and skinning of knuckles, I’ve managed fit new Saniflow PVC pipe work to the existing sea cocks. Making the connection to the discharge elbow barb was slightly easier, although it still required significant effort. I used boiling water to soften both ends of the hose and doubled up on clips with each clip’s screw oriented 180 degrees apart.
The seacock end is great- water tight. The joint between the pipe and discharge elbow barb weeps a tiny amount. I had a go at remaking the connection, with or without clips, varying tightness, etc. I’ve given it a wrap of self amalgamating tape but that’s not at all satisfactory.
There’s no damage to the surface of the pipe or the barb. They are really tight. There’s no weird angles to the pipe work. I’m stumped.
Any suggestions would be welcome as petrol and matches seem like my only recourse at this point!
