Hello everybody, wonder if somebody might lend me a bit if a hand, I am having a new fuel gauge fitted to my inboard engine, but the engineer says I may have some problems with Swarf? Which might get clogged up, but he is very vague, and uses words like “might”.. He also said that (And I agree) I have no choice as I need a gauge that works, so I will have to just suck it and see, I have only JUST had a brand new engine fitted, and so don’t really feel like taking a chance, any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Swarf might be found in a plastic tank?
Try thinking of waste material produced during manufactue, a bit like wood shavings!

well if he greases the drill well most of the swarf will stick to the drill!!

and any that falls inside the tank, should it pass in the fuel line will be trapped by your fuel filter(s) assuming you have them.
