doing it at design stage did not cost them a thing.
How did you reach that conclusion? It didn't design itself...

I think a 53 'mansion' edition sounds quite good.
Prices start at £733,200 excluding VAT.
To be honest, I think people will just climb over the sun pad / seating to get to the s/b side deck from the cockpit.
For £733,200 + VAT I'd want a f**king door
How much is the Ferretti 550?

...which costs you money and time which never comes back.

From 1.2 million EUROS ex VAT. But to be fair she goes into seventeen meters. A meter bigger.

M, I think you're missing the point. So thats £262,800 extra and STILL no f**king door
Just to add I think Absolute does this as well and it works well as you have much more space with just 1 door.
I think it looks great and you need to stand out with something different.
Yup thats what I was complaining about and it was only a throwaway remark not intended as a major criticism of a boat which I'm sure is going to be well received by the market. Yes Ferretti do have a bit of a blind spot about transom doors being on one side only and it is sometimes an issue getting off the boat when you are moored alongside if the door is on the opposite sideM, I think you're missing the point.
Deleted User is complaining about the fact that the access to the stbd walkaround from the cockpit seems restricted by the L shaped settee.
Afaik, that doesn't happen in any Ferretti.
If the contents of this type of discussion gets back to Fairline in any way and helps them then great.
We've got one transom door down to the platform which works absolutely fine for us getting about on and off docks, we also have unrestricted access to both side decks from the cockpit and personally I would consider that an absolute prerequisite, especially on something 50' or above.
The rendering on this boat in the earlier posts look pretty nice to me and if they have got 4, decent, cabins into a non aft cabin 52 then well done, will be interesting to see, albeit that I haven't looked back to see what the LOA is so it might not be a 52 anyway.
