Dear friends Good Morning,
"On 12th of May 2015 a meeting on “A New Period in Application for Residence Permit via Göç-Net” was organized. The meeting was held in the Directorate General of Migration Management Conference Hall and Mr. Atilla TOROS, Director General of Migration Management, Deputy Director Generals, Heads of Departments, mission representatives from 52 countries, which have the highest number of citizens residing in Turkey, and 15 district governors from İstanbul, Antalya, Aydın and Hatay provinces, which receive the highest number of residence applications, attended the meeting.
In his speech Mr. Atilla TOROS, Director General of Migration Management, has expressed that DGMM will provide service through Provincial Directorates of Migration Management in 81 provinces as of May 18, 2015. Mr. TOROS has also emphasized the importance of creating an information system from scratch and stated that contacts between the relevant institutions and organizations will be established and the procedures regarding foreigners, who want to enter into Turkey with legal channels, will be more practically concluded.
Director General has mentioned that in 2014, 200 thousand foreigners were given residence permit under the title of regular migration management and in Turkey, there are approximately 400 thousand migrants with residence permit. He has also remarked that central appointment system is developed for those who will apply for residence permit for the first time and who will transfer between residence permits; e-renewal system for those who will only renew their residence permit without changing the type of the current residence permit.
Following Mr. Atilla TOROS’s speech, presentations were made on this new system and detailed information on the new system were given which was developed in order to carry out the actions and procedures regarding the residence permits online and for foreigners to carry out their procedures with higher quality and quickly in this new period.
The meeting ended after the question-answer session."
Our guests in Turkey who wants to apply / extend their resident visa they do not have to go to Police Department anymore.
