I'm the new owner of a 1997 Cranchi Zaffiro 34 that was a one owner boat on a fresh water lake. I now have it on the Gulf Coast of Florida. It has 150 hours on the KAD42PAs and being new to boat ownership and since it's a rare boat for the US, I thought I'd seek assistance on this forum as they are much more common in Europe.
While I received many of the original documents for the boat, I do not have anything like an owners manual for it. I have many electrical schematics in Italian but nothing that helps with operation, switchgear, etc. Does anyone have this electronically if it exists? I have many years of experience with gasoline engines and 5.9 liter Cummins diesels in automotive applications and while I'm new to boating I'm not new to wrenching.
I do have all the manuals for the engines and the drives, but I think they may be some peculiarities special to the Cranchi installation of them. The boat was also winterized due to the cold snap we had this past December. While I had the engines de winterized, I'm doing the other systems myself.
I also currently have a mystery pump that is mounted on the starboard side forward engine bay bulkhead. It has about a 1" clear hose attached to it on the intake side and about 3 feet of the same home on the output but I cannot find what it should be attached to. What is the function of this pump?
Additionally, directly above this pump is what I think is an electrical master switch of some sort that has a red key that fits it. I found the red key in the bilge. The boat currently will not accept shore power but will fully power all circuits on batter power. Next to this box is a two breaker switch of some kind behind a weather shield. Does this need to be aligned in order to get shore power online?
Thanks in advance!
