New boat!

Don’t listen to ‘em Mister G! There are plenty of large capacity petrol tanks with pumps that you can find on eBay. Remember, these are the same people who say don’t get an electric car because there are no chargers?

No there are not and AFAIK whereas you can get a permit for a diesel bowser the same cannot be said for a petrol bowser. Been there already. Life sucks and then you buy a petrol boat and it's downhill from there!

I used to carry 4x20l containers of petrol when I had my last boat, albeit in the back of my truck. I’m astonished the main marina on the island doesn’t have a petrol pump…..or actually maybe not :cautious:

Petrol station is 2 minutes up the road. 40 litres per trip (Allegedly). It’ll be an expensive day! 20 odd kg in each hand is nothing ?

Bowser won’t deliver Petrol….did ask. It is mad there’s no marine petrol options.

Ive been looking at 4000 litre tanks. Could be a good little earner if IOM harbours where up for it.

Motamec Jerry Can Rapid Fuel Transfer Hand Pump - For Petrol/Diesel: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

Way back "when" I had a trailerable petrol powered boat, I filled her up from petrol station before launching her and had 2x Jerry cans which I carried with me and used for topping when i visited/checked on the boat or were to take her out ... But she "only" had a single 150 HP outboard admittedly ...

that’s clever Alf and thanks very much.

Here’s a question….which petrol will degrade slower? Premium or Super unleaded? Going to use fuel set and marine 16 as well

You can get fuel stabilises to add over the winter keeps the octane level up or something.
Classic cars tanks are only 40-80:L not 400-800 left over winter .They seem to work well stop carbs ( fuel system ) gumming up as well .E bay will be your friend on that one .

Formula is the new Itama. I just havent started singing about it yet. Should I start my evangelism?
You have missed one essential prerequisite to enter the same club as Mr Googler and myself ( apart from the love of dogs ) .Surprised you did .

Its called dead rise !

Blimey all my lectures and this one flew straight over .
I regret to inform you your formula is barred from the 20 degree + dead-rise club as if fails to qualify.Sorry mate rules are rules  .
Mr Googler has long since graduated ( arguably top of the class thus far ) in the Portofino school of hull form and gone out armed with the correct knowledge purchasing in consideration of hull form .:)

Just google dead rise and seaworthy ness .No need for me to repeat anything.
