Update time!

Hull is going well. Much better with the right kit! Starboard side sanded at 400 and 600 grit in just 8 hours! 1000 and 2000 to go. No pictures until finished as it’s boring apparently.

many bits arrived so set to the front seating area.

New table and pedestal. Got the hole cutter out to drill through the deck for the base plate….Jesus Christ! This is what I was left with! Bit extreme for a deck ?

decided to use lift off hinges as used on fly cases etc. It’s worked really well. You slightly angle the seat downwards and drop the seat onto the hinges. Bring up level and kick out the legs and that’s it. The hinges are then locked in So the seat can‘t detach until you lower the angle again to remove.

Stainless shelf brackets used total inappropriately with a square rubber foot on the end. Works a treat! I’m not light and they feel very solid. Now off to the upholsterer!

when all is removed….just left with round hinge bars. No injuries possible ?

yes I know it needs a clean and yes there is a reason why 1 base has 5 drain holes and the other 6…..so I know which side is which!?

That’s the best I’ve got, £300 for two double and two single covers, foam is original from the old seats.

Are you sure it will plane with these engines, you better swap for these 600hp monsters that just came out me thinks

Does that mean the foam in the hull has soaked up 2.5 tons of seawater?
Edit, 1.75 tons. Getting drier by the hour

I think it was water though….front fish holding tank was pretty full and is like 1000 litre capacity or something stupid! some of the other tanks where half full too??

Wow, you have a fish holding tank!! They must be well trained fish in IoM to know how to poo and pee into something connected to a holding tank. Hats off to them

big below deck tanks. One in the bow 2 port and starboard towards the stern plus a live bait well that pumps sea water in and out to keep little fishies alive…..until eaten by a big fish of course.

they all have pump out macerator pumps. I’m keeping the big one in the front working but decommissioned the rear ones. Could be put back to working with 2 new pumps but I’ll be using them for upholstery storage ?

Do you have any links or product names for those shelf brackets you used? I was looking to do something similar for some bench seats... never thought of mounting them that way and just using hinges for the seat.
Also what are your seats made of?

Seat bases are just 18mm marine ply. Epoxy white primer for extra protection and bit of top coat on the underside….just coz I had a bit left!
