My lap top will automatically reduce brightness when unplugged from the mains.

Most monitors for maritime use will also have a knob on them to manually reduce the brightness - essential at night.

Yep, I get all that. I am talking about having a super bright setting for sunlight viewing. Laptops and tablets dont tend to have it because, A: it kills the batteries and B: it is rarely required.

Big boy pants needed today!

No turning back now ?

Epoxy high build primer first coat. Getting the hang of this stuff now. Thinned it out a bit further (it’s still pretty thick stuff though). Just at the end....light rain shower ??.....hence it looks like white marks in the pictures but that’s the camera picking up light rain drops.

Doesn’t really matter as whole lot is getting 180 grit and 2nd coat. Its sands out really well. It’s motivating as it looks loads better just in primer! Happy with my white to dark section line too!

Take a look at the stripes on mine , one at the top and two lower down just above the WL

Yours has that white hull bit now that you removed the AF around the bow area .
Personal preference but you can see why the PO of your boat got rid of the white bow bit ?
Maybe paint it blue to the WL .
I,ll find a pic of the x chine area .

I don’t understand your first line?.

It was white......but white antifoul!

Got a stripe sorted too.

sticking with Black Grey.....got the paint ready to go. Decided to go single pack on the T Top. Never going to be subject to wear....such as fenders etc...

looks about a zillion times better than this reddish colour!
well done, so primer is actually grey black or black as well, right?
RAL 7021 Black Grey....same colour as top coat but being Matt.....it’s darker than finish gloss. It was lightening up a bit as it dried. This is the finish colour hopefully.....

Last primer coat done so now it’s all about sanding. Just for fun…..I took a picture after sanding the first primer coat and hosing it off. I think it will look well all glossed up

in other new….Quark A026 installed and working well. NMEA 0183 doesn’t want to talk to icon m411 vhf. There’s something in the quark manual about R422 and I need to spend more money for a converter! Buggers.

a package arrive from China today too….very exciting. Lost the will to live wiring up but it’s ready to install!

@vas ive just read that my a026 transmits NMEA 0183 r422. The VHF wants r232. Someone reckons connect nmea + out to the + in on the VHF and the VHF nmea - to ground. What do you think?
