Would have to be fifty litres per hour per side (100lph) for the 5ltr per mile figure....seems high but with huge engines it's no wonder it's been used WWOTand achieved poor consumption figures.
Big blocks probably explain the bow rise...do you know if they are on long jack shafts forward of the pods...?
I expect your fuel consumption will be better at 2800rpm with the bow down but tabs not dug in too far.

Not sure how long a jack shaft would be, but the pods/engines seem to be pretty much mated together. They do a stern drive option at both D6 370 & 435 hp that put the engines even further back!!
Think i'll just need to load the bow up with beer to counteract.
I'll reset the counters and see what the boat does on our normal usage and report back. I didn't have any equipment to measure fuel consumption on the old boat with KAD300's, but had a good idea of point to point costs.
