New Boat - very excited

I hadn't even considered that but it is possible, Up the Trent, onto the Humber and down the East coast. I wonder if I would need a Boat Safety Certificate and license? I guess there would several safe havens on the East Coast so it could be done in stages. I will have to do some research. It wouldn't be cheaper than putting it on a lorry but it would certainly be more exciting

I don't think you would need a bss or license, turn right out the marina and keep going to Torksey lock, you are then in the tidal Trent which I don't think is covered under rules, you could also use the dealer and say it's being delivered of which the EA usually understand, I cannot imagine every boat at BW has a full license on it. I know the sales boats don't.

Once you leave Hull it's nearly 100 miles to the next safe haven so pick your weather wisely.

Well, selfishly, there aren't that many trip reports from the east coast, so I'd certainly be interested to follow your progress. Best of luck, whichever route you decide.

Not if you use wells next the sea approx 50nm from Grimsby then same again to Lowestoft ,but agree pick the weather with the tides,

Wells can be a real eye opener if the weathers not right, I've done it!

Congratulations and welcome to the world of Jeanneau ownership.
